Also known as the Wayman Tisdale Award and Tamika Catchings Award, it is what every freshman basketball player strives to get. Thus, in our 2023-24 Top Men’s College Basketball Freshman, we will go over who has the best odds of winning.

The USBWA National Freshman of the Year is given out annually by United States Basketball Writers Association. The Award is given to the most outstanding freshman men and female basketball player. Last year, the award was given to Brandon Miller of the Alabama Crimson Tides.
