Former Shohei Ohtani interpreter Ippei Mizuhara received a roughly five-year jail term for his role in a gambling and fraud scam.

Following his conviction, he was forced to repay the renowned athlete about $17 million and pay the US Internal Revenue Service (IRS) another $1 million for taxes.
