State gaming statistics show that for the second year in a row, the 19 casinos spread across Iowa have seen a decline in both attendance and revenue. Yeah December's handle was much lower, and most states report lower win rates. It was a good month for bettors, it seems.

Getting insights on the sports betting industry from the bookie point of view never ends. Its how we get better.

December was a bad month for sportsbooks, especially brick-and-mortar ones. Their net revenue was in the red after losing $545,000 in December.

I think most favorites in the NFL covered the spread, which made it easier for bettors to pick winners.
