I started a sportsbook with a pay-per-head solution after finding an answer in this forum. Right now, I accept wagers on football, basketball, and soccer. I am thinking of having baseball markets once the season starts. What other sports should I have in my sportsbook?

Golf is a sport that has no off-season. It can help bring more action to your sportsbook all year round. Also, there are How to Be a Bookie tutorials that can help you pick the right sports for your sportsbook.

Unless you are a seasonal bookie, all major sports league should be in your sportsbook. Of course, the league you should have will depend on what your players are located and what they bet on.  If your clients are in the US, then you need to have all major leagues, like NFL, MLB, NBA, MLS, NHL and so on. Also, US players tend to bet on college sports so having those is essential.

If you have English players, then you should have all leagues available in the UK like the Premier League, BBL and even FIFA and rugby.

I think the better question would be which sports are the biggest money makers for bookies

ask me anything you want about opening a sportsbook and How to Become a bookie

since you are using a pay per head, you are pretty much at their mercy as to what you can offer. I would make sure that they include esports betting and live betting. not a sport but having entertainment and political bets are also a good draw for your book.

if you offer political bets, be careful though as its illegal i a few country to bet on those

eSports betting is a pretty hot ticket right now. Older gamblers don't bet on those but anyone that grew up in the late 90s or early 2000 are sure to bet on it

Yup, I depend on what my pay per head provider offers. The good news is that its PPH service covers a wide range of sports markets, from mainstream to obscure sports. I was surprised when one of my players bet on darts the other day.

You did mention you use a pay per head solution so basically you can offer anything you want! you can, however, focus on specific sports but that will depend on your players and where they bet on.. perhaps use that as your basis on what sport or league to focus on?

Getting insights on the sports betting industry from the bookie point of view never ends. Its how we get better.
